About Me
I am a Consultant in IBM's GBS Public Sector. I have been with IBM over four years. Fortunately, I applied and was accepted into IBM’s Corporate Service Corp (CSC) Program this summer. The CSC was launched to help provide IBMers with high quality leadership development while delivering high quality problem solving for communities and organizations in emerging markets. I am documenting my experiences with the program to benefit, and hopefully also entertain, past, current, and future CSC participants. Karen Goes East: Adventures with IBM's CSC Program
Wana, one of the wait staff pictured in my last post, gave me a list of interesting places in his hometown of Bandung.
Now I’ve mentioned previously that Bandung is supposed to have good shopping. Well, Wana recommended three factory outlet areas as “must see”:
- Jalan Dago
- Jalan Riau
- Cihampelas Area (aka Jean Street)
I guess I better leave room in my suitcase!
His other recommendations included:
- Asia Africa Street to view historical building and interesting architecture.
- Jalan Braga for cafes, boutiques, and restaurants.
- A day trip to Lembang to check out the Tangkuban Prahu volcano.
